PAINTING OF PRUSSIAN TREES Has the city where you live influenced your art? Yes, I'd argue it’s about the city, what makes a city livable is its proximity to nature, and nature has been influential on my art. I could also say it’s about the ability to hear music in the early hours of the morning and talk about art with friends. For me art happens wherever nature is closest, when I'm relaxed and stretched out by the river or hiking the mountain. When I go to the river to paint I take one blank canvas, only primary colors, prussian blue, yellow, red & white, one brush for light colors and one brush for dark colors. The paintings of prussian blue trees are about where I live. |
